After watching this movie I've had many question about the subconscious which we've talked about a lot in class which has helped create some of my questions. The largest question is can this really be done? It seems highly unlikely, but then, science has brought us a long ways so anything could be possible. Perhaps this doesn't have anything to do with the psychology we've talked about, but it seemed like it did somewhat.
If you haven't seen this movie, I don't want to give anything away by explaining it in this, so you'll have to find out for yourself, but that link gives you a pretty good idea of what you can get from it. This is one of the greatest movies I've watched in a while. It's not one of those mindless movies that have nothing to think about, it kept you on the edge of your seat and thinking the whole way through.
I was also intrigued by the movie Inception, as it made me think about the many levels of our subconcious. Science has brought about so many new levels of the unthinkable, and I also had to wonder "can this be done"? Is it possible to enter a person's dreams and subconsious for another's personal benefit? It also made me think even more about the subconsious, what it is, where it is hidden in our minds, and can it be penetrated externally such as in the movie? If this movie did anything, it got me to think about dreams, subconsiousness, and whether they are truly protected - fact versus fiction?
ReplyDeleteI saw this movie twice, and I would recommend seeing it at least two times as I found more clues and symbols the second time around to help even further understand the entire movie. Great cinema!
